Starting in London
Street marketing for apps. Paid per download.
Book people who go out and tell others about your app or website, face to face. You pay only for first-time downloads or sign-ups, counted for each marketer's own link.
For app owners
Book people, not ads.
For iPhone apps, Android apps and websites. Real conversations with real people. You only pay when one ends in a download or a sign-up.
- 01
Post a contract
Find your app, set a budget and your own price per download, from £5. Two minutes.
- 02
A marketer takes it
Marketers see every open contract and what it pays, so a higher price is taken sooner.
- 03
Pay per download
Your budget is held on your card, not taken. You pay for the downloads the App Store counts, and the rest is let go.
- 04
Rate them
Once the numbers are in, you rate your marketer out of five, the way you would rate a ride.

Counted by the stores, not by us.
Scan
Someone scans the marketer's code.
Store
It opens the app's own App Store or Google Play page.
Download
They download it for the first time.
Counted
Apple or Google counts it for that marketer's link, and Legwork reads the count.
Paid
The marketer is paid and the app owner rates them.
- One marketer per contract, with their own link
- So every download or sign-up has exactly one owner.
- First-time downloads only
- Reinstalling on the same account, or another device of theirs, does not count again.
- Read by Legwork, never typed in
- Before a contract opens, the owner gives Legwork read-only access to App Store Connect or Google Play Console, so we read every count ourselves.
- Websites: your analytics
- Each marketer's link carries its own tag, and Legwork reads the sign-ups it brings in your analytics, with Viewer access.
Fees
For now, we make nothing on a contract.
Our fee is exactly what the card payment and the payouts cost. Everything else goes to the marketers.
Questions
How does the card hold work?
When you book, your whole budget is held on your card, the way a hotel holds a deposit. Nothing is taken. After the session Legwork reads the count itself, through the read-only access you give us, only those downloads are charged, and the rest of the hold is let go. A hold lasts about a week. If a marketer has gone out and the count is not in the day before it runs out, it is taken in full and the difference refunded as soon as Legwork reads it. The payment page and your card statement show the name SpacedRecall, which runs Legwork's payments and sign-in.
What can be marketed?
An iPhone app on the UK App Store, an Android app on Google Play, or a website. Apps are paid per first-time download, websites per sign-up.
Who sets the price?
The app owner does, from £5 a download. Marketers see every open contract and what it pays, so a higher price is taken sooner.
Where and when does it run?
In London, to start with. The marketer who takes your contract goes out where and when people are about.
How do you see the downloads and sign-ups?
The marketer has their own link, shown as a QR code. For an iPhone app it is an App Store campaign link, and its first-time downloads show in App Store Connect (a campaign shows once it has 5). For an Android app it is the Google Play page tagged with the marketer's campaign name, counted in Google Play Console. For a website it is your page tagged the same way, and your analytics counts the sign-ups. Before a contract opens, the owner gives Legwork read-only access there, and after the session Legwork reads the count itself. Nobody types a number in.
Is there a limit on downloads?
Only the budget. A contract pays for up to the downloads its budget buys, which is exactly what the hold covers.
What stops fake downloads?
Only first-time downloads and new sign-ups count. Downloading an app or signing up yourself, or on friends' phones, to be paid for it is fraud and gets a marketer removed. App owners rate every marketer, and a low rating means fewer contracts.
When do marketers get paid?
By bank transfer within 3 working days of Legwork reading the count. The card costs come off the top and nothing else.
Who can be a marketer?
Anyone 18 or over in London. Show your code on your phone rather than handing out paper: some London areas need a council licence to give out leaflets.
Do I need an account?
Yes, a free one, as a marketer or an app owner. It is a Spaced Recall account, so if you have one already, sign in with it. Signed in, one page shows every open contract.
Can an AI agent book for me?
Yes. Give it legwork.spacedrecall.app/api/mcp as a connector, or our API. It can find your app, book and add the campaign link. You hold the budget on your card and give Legwork read-only access; Legwork reads the counts.
Who is behind this?
Two brothers in London who started out telling people about their own app on the street.
